CTP Flexibles latest investment, the installation of a new laminator with cold-seal technology, further expands the company’s ever-growing product portfolio.
With a plethora of lamination equipment available in the market, CTP Flexibles’ investment followed a detailed investigation into each offering, with factors such as accuracy and sustainability serving as key considerations. Enter the Nordmeccanica Super Combi 4000.
Complimentary to CTP Flexibles existing solventless lamination equipment, the compact machine is capable of both solventless and solvent based lamination, cold-seal coating and contains an additional gravure printing or coating unit.
With their new solvent based lamination capability, the business is positioned to produce packaging for more aggressive compounds such as chemical and alcohol sachets or pouches. CTP Flexibles new cold-seal capability is particularly advantageous to meeting clients’ needs in the confectionary and snack foods market, products found in these markets are typically sensitive to heat and therefore a cold-seal application is absolutely necessary.
Amongst its many technically advanced features; the laminator boasts high production speeds, superior web handling technology ensuring laminate quality of the highest standard and a coating weight control system which ensures accurate laydown. Furthermore, it features an extremely low energy consumption and is therefore aligned with CTP Flexibles drive to reduce their environmental footprint.
